Poll: Who is your Notts Man of the match v Gillingham?
The poll has now closed. Thank you to all PON members who participated in the poll. I can announce that the Notts Man of the Match against Gillingham, with an overwhelming majority, is JACOB BEDEAU for his solid defensive performance. Pride of Nottingham - Notts County Community WWW.FACEBOOK.COM Jacob Bedeau has been voted as the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match for his solid defensive performance in Notts' narrow 1-0 defeat to Gillingham. Well deserved despite the result!...- 2

Harry Caine's Em
There's only a minimal amount of hate expressed, the rest is criticism and a bit of being a meme. I like him, but he's not always the right option to lead the national team now. If he does, then we need to adapt the formation and make sure he's supported. I don't think he should be dropping deep any more and his energy levels should be reserved. I don't get why some people verbally abused him during the World Cup, it wasn't a lack of effort but a mixture of poor form, bad tactics and tiredness. Simply, he shouldn't have been guaranteed to start. Without him, I don't think we'd make the final. At least not having some form of playing time in all the games, he just needed to play every group game. There should be a level of respect for what he's achieved, as in his younger days he at times carried England. Much like how Wayne Rooney and David Beckham did.- 1

Stuart Maynard Reflects on Frustrating Defeat Against Gillingham: "We Deserved More"
I think this was a really harsh result on the lads. For large parts of the game, we looked in control, moved the ball well, and created enough chances to win comfortably. We hit the post twice, had one disallowed, and forced their keeper into some good saves. Gillingham were always going to be tough, but to come away with nothing feels cruel after a performance like that. The refereeing decisions were baffling as well, especially the disallowed goal. Injuries are a worry, particularly with Jodi going off and Jatta missing, but we’ve got good depth. Stuart Maynard is right – we can’t control the officials, but we can make sure we bounce back stronger. The mentality in this squad is strong, and I’m confident we’ll respond well in the next few games.- 1

Worcester City v Notts County Women
From the beginning of the match, Worcester piled on the pressure for long periods in the first half, however the Notts back line held firm. Worcester had a couple of chances they could have done better with, but Notts women are much more organised this season & they demonstrated grit & determination to keep Worcester out in that first half. Notts came out in the second half & Qaintance ratted the nar for Notts in the 47 th minute & Notts were on top at that stage. Notts got the deserved breakthrough in the 65 th minute when substitute Russell crossed for HARDY to volley home. Notts got a 2nd in the 78 th minute when KNOTT got the final touch from a corner by Brooks. Worcester got a goal back in the 81 st minute. There were some nervous moments before the end, but Notts held out & get their first away win this season. This was a very good win on the road by Notts Women against a spirited team that had been promoted last season. -

Poll: Who is your Notts Man of the match v Gillingham?
It’s a hard decision because none of the lads played badly, but my vote would go to Jacob Bedaeu.- 1
